It also helps you to block all ads on Instagram. It was developed by a group, Perfect DEV.

What is Honista?
Honista is a modified version of Instagram, launched in 2022. Since then, 12 versions have been released, and its current version is 9.1. With Honista, you can download reels, stories, photos, videos, and IGTV Videos from Instagram with a single click. It can also block all the ads. Moreover, you can change the theme, chat background, and layout, hide the story-seen mark, message-seen mark, and much more.
Currently, due to some limitations, we have upgraded the minimum Android version requirement; if your device runs on Android v9.0 or later versions, you can use Honista’s latest version. If you have a device that runs on Android v9.0 below, you can use Honista Old Versions.

Why Use Honista?
I will give you the answer in a simple sentence – listen, if you want to control your Instagram account entirely, change the layout, theme, etc., then you must use Honista. If you do not want others to know about your Instagram activities, like you have seen their story, messages, etc., then you should also use Honista.

Features of Honista
Change Instagram Theme
Instagram provides only two theme options – Dark Mode theme and Light Mode theme. But in Honista, you will get a theme store; we have made sure that you will get your favorite theme there. Currently, there are 12 themes in it, but do not worry; we are planning to add more themes to it. For each theme, there are two modes: Dark Mode and Light Mode. You can select any theme like Purple, Red, Green, or yellow.
Change Default App Logo
To distinguish the app, we have added the Honista logo that you must have seen at the start of the article, but to make sure you have all the customization options, we have added an option to change the default app logo. Currently, there are 15 different icons – FlashLight, E-Mail, Message, Browser, Calander, Settings, etc.
But, if you select any other icon, the default name will also be changed. For example, if you choose the Settings icon, then the name will also be changed from Honista to Settings.
Download Any Reel, Photo & Story
We know many of you are installing Honista because you want to download the stories and reels. So, in every modified version of Instagram, this is the most common functionality, so of course, with Honista, you can download anything from reels to profile pictures.
So, when we were designing the app, we thought that we could add more functionalities to this feature. For your convenience, we have added a Download History feature, where you can find your downloaded reels and photos. Moreover, you can split the download folders for each username.
Built-In App Lock
If you are using an old mobile phone with an old Android version, and your phone doesn’t have any built-in app lock, then do not worry; we have taken care of that also; we have added a built-in app lock, which means you can set the app lock within the Honista itself. There is no need to use any external app for the app lock feature.
There are 4 app lock modes – PIN, Password, Fingerprint and Face-Lock. You can use any mode. Even for your privacy, we have also added an auto-lock feature; if you turn on this feature, Honista will lock itself whenever you are not using it. There is also a quick lock option; it will be placed at the top of the screen. If you tap it, the app will be locked instantly.
Hide Your Chats
We all have one friend with whom we talk about everything, even our secrets, so if you want, your chat with him must be hidden; we have taken care of that also. We have included a “Hide Chat” feature; you can hide your chat with it. To hide a chat, tap and hold on to the conversation that you want to hide; after a few seconds, you will get an option to hide the chat; select it.
For more privacy, we have also provided the set-up lock option for hidden chats, which means you can set the passcode for these hidden conversations; whenever you open the hidden chats, you have to enter the passcode. It ensures that only those people who know your passcode can see those chats.
Ghost Mode
If you want your Instagram activities to be visible to you, with Honista’s Ghost Mode, you can easily do so. Let me explain this mode with an example – you can see your friend’s story without letting him know that you have seen his story. Currently, there are 3 Ghost Modes available in Honista – Stories Ghost Mode, Live Ghost Mode, and Chat Ghost Mode.
I hope the names of the modes explain their features. For example – The live Ghost Mode lets you watch any live stream without letting the host know that you are watching his live stream.
Turn Off Auto Play Videos Feature
One of the most annoying features of Instagram is that it plays the videos that are available in the feed automatically as we scroll through the feed. So, while designing the Honista, the team decided to get rid of it, so we have included the option to turn the auto-playing of videos.
If you do not have Wi-Fi at home and have limited available data, we suggest you enable this feature now.
Change The Default Chat Background
When we were discussing what we should add in customization options, in the meeting, I raised one point, on which all agreed. Do you want to know what that point was? So let me tell you, it was providing an option to change the default chat background. So, when we were customizing the app, we also added this option.
You can set any photo or color as the chat background; you will find this option in Honista’s settings.
Backup Honista’s Settings
When we were testing the app’s feature, one of our team members accidentally deleted the Honista from his device. At that time, we thought it could happen to you also, so our team sat again at their desk and added a backup and restore Honista settings option.
So, after setting up Honista on your mobile, we recommend you take a backup of all the settings; if you accidentally delete the app from your mobile, you can install Honista again and upload the backup of your settings; in such a case, you do not have to set up each option individually.
Copy Bios, Captions & Comments
Initially, we were not planning to add this feature in Honista, but after talking with a lot of Instagram users, we realized our mistake and added the option to copy comments, bios, and captions. You can also translate the captions, etc.
